On the success of their Open Day 2017, root6 are holding another in 2018!

root6’s Platform1 is back! Please join us for our popular one-day event, addressing topical industry issues, and how some of the hottest new technology can help save you time and money.

As well as informative presentations and seminars from industry experts, you’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with some of the products we’re currently making a fuss about, including new kit from: AJA, Atomos, Avid, Blackmagic Design (including DaVinci Resolve), ContentAgent, HP (and their new Z series workstations), NewTek, and many more!

As ever, the event is free to attend and light refreshments will be provided throughout the day. However, spaces are limited, so please register in good time.

  • 12.30pm Doors open, we get the coffees and cakes in.
  • 1.00pm – 1.45pm ROOT6 Technology present ContentAgent. An update
    on all that’s new with our very own workflow automation system.
  • 2.00pm – 2.45pm New networking standards for Video over Fibre and
    Gigabit Ethernet infrastructure (VoIP).
  • 3.00pm – 3.45pm Avid Technology update us on Media Composer, Nexis
    storage, and their game-changing new update to the MediaCentral UX cloud-based asset management system.
  • 4.00pm – 4.45pm Panel discussion/Q&A session on colourimetry and High
    Dynamic Range (HDR) for film and television. Whether it’s HD or UHD/4K and beyond, HDR is coming to a screen near you…
  • 5.00pm – 7.00pm Drinks, nibbles and networking.
